After signing a waiver allowing us remove receptacles in certain areas or slightly displace trim which would allow for the 1/4″in. Bore Scope or probe which has the ability to get accurate readings from behind the walls need full permission from the current owner of the property and the waiver indicating we are not responsible for chipping paint or minor damage to perform this type of sample which in rare cases is required.

Targeted Mold Sampling Includes:
One or more sample types can be taken to identify a isolated mold issue. Mold Air Samples, Sterile Hermetically Sealed Swabs or Tape Samples may be used to take Direct Surface Samples of the Area of Concern.
  • Indoor air samples– Use these if feeling ill or to narrow down a potential area of concern to see if further investigation is required such as a mold assessment.
  • Outdoor air (control) sample- The purpose of an outdoor control sample is to have a baseline comparison to what types of mold may be naturally occuring in the outdoor air and allows for a comparison to what types of mold is found inside. Different types of mold may be found on the interior indicating there is a moisture problem feeding the indoor mold found indicating a full mold assessment is required to find the problem area so it can be corrected for your safety and health.
  • Surface samples- Sterile Hermetically sealed swabs or tape samples are used to take a direct sample of visible potential mold growth.
  • This is Localized Testing of Suspect Areas and is Not a Full Mold Assessment

For the Full Mold Assessment, we conduct a very thorough non-intrusive inspection. This means we will not damage any property, including removing drywall, carpet, etc. Our Mold Assessors will use a hygrometer and infrared cameras, moisture meters, and other tools to assess non-visible areas. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all areas to be inspected are accessible. Our inspectors will not remove personal belongings, furniture, appliances, etc. to access an area. In addition, they will not enter enclosed, “unsafe” areas of the home. This may include crawlspaces, attics, etc. This will depend upon the discretion of the Mold Assessor.

A travel fee will be applied to all packages when serviced 30-50 Miles outside of the Annapolis area. Any job further than 50 miles will need prior approval from management.
